Some Of Our Clients

NZCDI regularly provides the type of services set out below:

1. Organisational Learning & Development Architecture

Provided learning architecture services for an educational organisation for over 8 years. During this period NZCDI supported a range of strategic developments and designed 5 programme pathways from NZQA level 1 to level 9.

Provided learning architecture frameworks and programme pathways; philosophical, theoretical, conceptual and practice frameworks to underpin and guide organisational developments at the degree level. These frameworks also underpinned and supported the development of a Research Unit and the capability growing in this Unit.

Recent learning and qualification design work has included the development of Level 1 to 7 ‘Matauranga, Te Ao and Kaupapa Māori’, and ‘Literacy and Numeracy’ learning progressions frameworks to ensure cohesion and high levels of learning achievement.

NZCDI Consultants designed, led and delivered an innovative Master of Applied Leadership (where 100% of graduates gained the employment they sought) as part of a client’s staff capability development programme.

2. Learning programme/qualification design & delivery

NZCDI is providing comprehensive 3 comprehensive professional Curriculum Designer programmes to support people and capability, learning and academic managers, teachers and academics to re-develop and design highly effective curricula that are fit for their purposes.

Developed a suite of postgraduate qualifications including a Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, and Master’s Degree across 4 fields for a Polytechnic. The programmes included innovative work-integrated learning and assessment approaches.

Designed two programmes (utilising co-design methodology) for a Government department to achieve specific outcomes with vulnerable special populations in remote and deprived communities.

3. Assessment, moderation and evaluation

NZCDI was the first organisation in New Zealand to champion and design programmes for many clients that embedded work-integrated learning, assessment, moderation, and evaluation methods in New Zealand. NZCDI was invited to publish in this area by international academics for example Professor Sally Brown (UK).

NZCDI provides independent moderation services to a number of organisations as part of ongoing contracts plus one-off moderation services as required by our clients.

Coach business, community, and education organisations to conduct robust evaluations of their planned strategic outcomes and utilise quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources so that their confidence level in findings is high.

4. Quality Management & Assurance Systems

Developed all materials to support an organisation to become NZCQA accredited, this included a comprehensive Quality System Manual and all associated implementation documentation.

Re-developed quality system manuals to ensure compliance with current legislative requirements (especially Health and Safety, COVID-19, Pastoral Care Code, Privacy and Intellectual Property) for clients.

Developed robust evaluation systems incorporating monitoring, review, reflection, self-assessment, audit, and whole of organisation evaluation. Work for this client also included the establishment of systems that measure improvements over time.

5. Consultations, Reviews & Audits

Conduct Stakeholder Consultations for projects or programmes for clients. Consultations conducted: gather viewpoints, independently identify areas of value and strength, identify areas of concern and challenge then inform re-developments or re-designs of projects, programmes, systems and processes.

Conducted a First Aid Needs Analysis for First Aid education for NZQA.

Reviewed Government entities learning framework and reviewed areas working well and not working well to identify challenges plus generated possible ways forward that were selected by the client.

Conducted an audit of an organisation’s moderation system and identified areas where it was working well and changes need to improve the quality of achievements. Designed solutions for this client to choose from to overcome challenges they were facing. The quality of assessment work improved over time when a selection of provided solutions was implemented.

6. Professional Development programmes

Currently, NZCDI designs and delivers workshops and services to build capacity to deliver the new national Curricula as PLD Contractors for the Ministry of Education.

NZCDI is supporting schools and tertiary institutions to develop culturally responsive assessments that support achievement, inclusion, diverse learner needs and equitable outcomes through 1 Day Professional development workshops.

NZCDI is providing a comprehensive 4-day professional Curriculum Designer workshop series to support the capabilities of learning, teaching, facilitators and academics to re-develop and design highly effective curricula for those they serve.

7. Research

NZCDI has a long-term Strategic Research Plan and implements this plan to benefit their clients each year, research is published in peer-reviewed publications and disseminated at conferences and through our programmes and professional development offers as it is completed.

NZCDI consultants have gained two national Ako Aotearoa Best Practice Research Grants to support effective Wellbeing and Pastoral Care support systems in recent years.

Currently, NZCDI is conducting a 5-year research programme focussed on comprehensive wellbeing evaluation, and enhancement via three related investigations. Partners are welcome to work with us on research projects we undertake.

8. Wellbeing/Pastoral Care Checks and programmes

NZCDI provides comprehensive Wellbeing Checks using the Universal Wellbeing Evaluation Tool (UWET). Our Wellbeing Checks are designed to be taken by individuals, families, whanau or teams. They result in a report identifying strengths and areas for development.

Clients can then undertake a Universal Wellbeing Enhancement Plan with their professional Wellbeing Facilitator to further enhance their wellbeing. Advice and referrals to clinical or other experts may be part of this planning.

NZCDI has also designed and is providing 4 professional Wellbeing and Pastoral Care programmes to support organisations and their staff to effectively support the Wellbeing or provide Pastoral Care to others.
