  • Effective Holistic & Culturally Responsive Pastoral Care

    Providing professional level holistic and culturally responsive pastoral care to our students has never been as important as it is today. This workshop is suitable for those experienced and new to pastoral care provision.

  • Understanding & Implementing the New Pastoral Care Code

    This interactive workshop will increase your understandings of the new Pastoral Care Code legislation for domestic and international learners.

  • Mental Health First Aid

    A Mental Health First Aid course will teach you how to provide initial support to adults who may be experiencing mental health challenges or mental health crisis, until the crisis resolves, or specialist help is accessed, using a practical evidence-based Action Plan.

Community of Practice

Do you work in wellbeing or Pastoral Care?

Would you like to participate in a supervised and confidential community of practice?

NZCDI will be hosting an online Wellbeing and Pastoral Care Community of Practice Communities from February 2023.

 

·       A community of practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern, a set of problems, or work in a similar field or type of work.

·       Communities of practice usually focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge to advance their professional practice, in this case Wellbeing and/or Pastoral Care support work. 

·       Interactions on an ongoing basis is an important part of an effective CoP as is confidentiality by members.

·       Our community will involve interactive online sessions facilitated by an experienced Wellbeing and/or Pastoral Care lead trained in providing professional supervision who will co-design sessions with participants.

Join our 90 minute, once a month sessions and share successes and challenges you face with others doing the same work you are.

 

Investment:

$100 plus GST per session (10 per year) or 

$600 plus GST for all ten sessions.
